STRAP BIFOLD DOORS
Schweiss Doors’ patented “Lift Strap” system features durable polyester material and is a popular option for customers, with 90% of doors being ordered with this system. The number of straps varies based on the door size, and adequately sized lifting drums give a 5:1 safety factor. The lift straps wrap around the lift drums and increase in speed as the drum’s circumference increases, allowing for faster and safer opening. The solid steel driveshaft features 3″ lift drums mounted at each lift point, providing an even lift and each lift point has greasable bearing mounts. The electric power unit is equipped with a gear motor and electric brake that guarantees to stop and hold the door in any position of travel. Schweiss Doors’ bifold doors are made with quality materials and have a framework of 3″ x 3″ square tubing or 2″ x 2″ square tubing, and extra heavy-duty 3″ roller bearing wheels for bottom rollers.

“ONE PIECE” HYDRAULIC DOOR
Schweiss Doors’ hydraulic doors are made with a sturdy framework of 2″ x 4″ square tubing and 2″ cross tubes. The doors are powered by electric over hydraulic power units, which come fully assembled with an oil reservoir, a direct drive motor, and gauges. The power units are set up with universal wall or floor mount brackets and are designed to lift the door for many years to come. All Schweiss power units are ready to work and even come with their own test cord, making installation of the door easy for customers. The hydraulic doors are opened using two heavy-duty cylinders, one located on each end of the door, which ensure safe and trouble-free operation for many years.

CABLE BIFOLD DOORS
Schweiss Cable Bifold Doors feature heavy 1/4″ aircraft galvanized steel lifting cables, with the number of lift cables determined by the size of the door, all designed to provide a 5:1 safety factor. The door’s framework is made of 3″x3″ or 2″x2″ square tubing. The bottom drive is electric operated, with a gear motor that has an electric brake to stop and hold the door in any position during travel. The lifting method uses a solid steel driveshaft with 3″ lift drums mounted by each lift point on the bottom cord of the door. Each lift point has greasable bearing mounts, and the door uses 2, 4, 6, etc. lift points depending on its size. The wheels at the bottom of the door jamb roll up each side column using extra heavy-duty bearings that measure 3″ to provide a smooth operation.

HAND OPERATED – BIFOLD DOORS
This high-quality door is designed for use when power is not available. The framework is made of 1.50″ x 1.50″ square tubing, and the power unit is manually operated with a mechanical hand winch instead of an electric one. The lifting method involves using cables or straps that are operated with a hand-operated mechanism.
